Add Non-Competing Enterprises
How To Manage With Ranch Vision
This visual shows how adding an enterprise that does not compete with existing enterprises for limited resources can increase profit.

Generally speaking the primary resource for grazing livestock operations is grass, which can be utilized by a variety of different grazing livestock enterprises. Ranch Vision allows you to evaluate as many as 18 different cattle, sheep, or goat grazing enterprises.
However, the ranch business might also be able to accommodate additional enterprises that do not compete with grazing. Common examples include crops, orchards, hay, a feedlot, a direct-to-consumer sales operation, hunting clubs, equestrian boarding, events, etc. If these enterprises can return a positive gross margin, then they would bring an increase to ranch profit without compromising grazing enterprises.
Ranch Vision allows you to add an unlimited number of additional non-grazing enterprises into the overall analysis of your ranch business. These additional enterprises are entered in the Additional Costs and Income section.
