If you missed the Profitable Regeneration Summit hosted by Jared Sorensen, check out Dr. Brazil's seminar below!
About the Seminar
Ranchers can’t stay regenerative if they aren’t profitable. In this Profitable Regeneration Summit session, we break down the ranch profit equation and show how to use enterprise analysis to make better decisions—without spreadsheets that take weeks to update.
You’ll see a live walkthrough of Ranch Vision, a forward-looking planning tool that models herds, cash flow, gross margins, and efficiency so you can answer the only question that matters: What should I do now?
What you’ll learn:
✅ The ranch profit equation (sum of enterprise gross margins minus overheads)
✅ The five ways to increase ranch profit: reduce overheads, add non-competing enterprises, increase enterprise efficiency, reallocate limited resources, and develop resources
✅ How to separate overheads vs. direct costs and why that matters
✅ Measuring enterprise efficiency (gross margin per unit of grass consumed)
✅ Scenario planning: shifting sale weights/dates, herd replacements vs. purchases, and reallocating grass
✅ Q&A highlights: accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero), AI features, dairy & farming use cases
Meet the Speaker

Dr. Rich Brazil grew up in a family raising cattle, sheep, and pigs in the small farming community of Newman in California’s Central Valley. After graduation from high school he left to attend the University of California at Davis studying Ag Science and Management specializing in Animal Science. As part of the University of California’s Travel Abroad Program he travelled to La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia as an exchange student studying Australian agriculture.
After returning and completing his Bachelor of Science degree at UC Davis he entered the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine where he met his wife, Dr. Erin Walsh Brazil. Following graduation from veterinary school in 1988, the two began a large animal veterinary practice in rural northern California.
Beginning in the early 90s, Dr Brazil recognized the deep need to assist his ranching clients to become more profitable.
The culmination of his life experience has resulted in Ranch Vision, a unique software program that enables grazing livestock producers to manage in an intuitive, forward-thinking way, allowing them to see the big picture moving forward and to then quickly and accurately analyze different management strategies in order to identify the most profitable management plan for their unique ranch businesses.
